spent $11.50 in halves on some stuff to grill out for lunch at work.

Spent $5.50 in halves at Kohls in conjunction with my $10 of $10 coupon. They usually have a shirt or something on sale for $12.99 or many times on sale for $9.99 so I walk out with something free. In the old days (5 years or so ago) nothing was on sale when the coupons mailed it. It seems that is what happened this time because I wasn't about to come out of pocket $10 for a fleece or new belt that I didn't really need.

I had off today so I went to BMO Harris at 9AM to get my boxes. I told them I would be back at noon with some pizza to thank them for hooking me up. I stop at the Pizza Hut 8 blocks from the bank and I am counting out my halves to pay for the pizza and the guy asks me if I bank at BMO. I said yes. He said that they told him that there was a guy that comes in there get halves and that he was bringing them pizza today. HE must have stopped in there some time after I left and before Pizza Hut opened. Talk about 3 degrees of separation / coincidence.

Spent $23.50 in halves at Pizza Hut.

Spent $18.50 in halves at the grocery store.

Do you mean you spent quarter dollars rather than halves? If so, that wouldn't go in this thread and the total would be $87,354.
