This past two weeks in our Farmers Markets change and other expenditures I circulated $713 in halves. The number would have been higher if the weather was better. We had as many as 160 acres flooded during the last two weeks and have major damage. I found a Franklin of a year I did not have and also two rolls of 40% silver Kennedy coins, but that does not override the huge financial consequences of the flooding, sigh.

Paid for a small item with a .50 cent piece and some other loose change, the cashier tried to ring it up as a dollar.

This past week in our Farmers Markets change and other expenditures I circulated $408 in halves. We have over 50 acres flooded still and have major damage. I hope all have a good week.

Left $.50 in a tip jar.
Went through the drive-thru and used a $.50 to pay part of my $4.48 bill, the cashier thought it was a dollar coin and then rolled his eyes when I told him it was a half.

One JFK at a convenience store this morning. Twelve more were fed into a self checkout at the nearby Walmart Neighborhood Market. Total spent: $6.50. $78,595.50 remains.

I thought I was done for the day, but I had to make an "emergency" run to the C-store again. This allowed me to ditch one more half dollar.
$78,595 and we're there.

Yesterday I used seven at a convenience store. This morning I fed $10 worth into a self checkout machine. This makes $13.50 worth jettisoned out into the wild, all of which were counterstamped. (I intend to visit a nearby bank to see if that's where they're going).
$78,581.50 to go.
