Slightly off-topic:
I was browsing at a small coin shop in Boston yesterday when a young couple came in (mid-20s), the woman asked the dealer whether he buys coins... Dealer said "maybe, what do you have?" The young woman opened her bag and put a dozen or so dollar coins on the showcase. They were all presidential and Sac dollars.The woman had read "on-line" that some were worth money and asked the dealer to take a closer look, but he just "spend those". She was disappointed but pleasant. Weird thing to me is that in Boston we use dollar coins every day. If you put a $5 bill etc in the fare vending machine it will spit out dollar coins all day long. So not sure why anyone here woud think they might be valuable except for all the misleading Youtube videos. Oh, well, keep them circulating!

...I hope this counts ... 5 neighborhood kids manning a kool-aid stand this weekend (SAT), so I bought my wife & I each a cup ($2 ttl) ... paid with a couple of Ikes. the kids were fascinated with them, so I bought another 3 cups, thus giving each kid an Eisenhower $ ... ...5 Ikes spent, ...$54,552 to go ...  |

I did a quick audit of the last few pages. I fixed a miscalculation and a transposition error which had propagated to today. We are now further along than we thought.  |

Spent 3 SBA dollars at a fast food restaurant. As I noted in the half dollar thread (as this was the same transaction), the cashier said they collected coins and accepted them without question! It was an encouraging and happy cash interaction.  $54,534 to go. |
