Spent $11 in dollar coins at the beer store. I had to stop at the bank to make a payment on my HELOC and had 2 boxes of halves I had to reroll. The woman in front of me asked if those were all halves. I said yes. She asked if I had gone through them. I told her yes and there's nothing good left in there. Not that there was to begin. (since finds are way down the last 8 monthe ) I went to my window and she went to her window. She asked the teller for some dollar coins. She started with $100 but said to give her $200 worth. I'm not sure what she does with them but hopefully it is spend them. $97,799 to go.

Spent $25 in dollars on some donuts and chocolate milk for my main pickup bank along with a few item for me.
I usually ask for "halves or dollar coins" when I stop at banks so as not to throw up the silver flag but in the last 6 months it seems to be mainly dollar coins I get stuck with when I say "I'll take whatever you got" so as not to throw up a red flag.
I have $250 in dollar coins sitting here waiting for the 5% cash back gas station credit card bonus to end April 1.
$97,725 to go

Make sure to put the total on its own line so it's easier to see.

Quote: jack, this is the dollar thread, not the half dollars It was $25 in dollar coins yesterday, not halves. If I typed halves it was a misprint.

Dropped $240 in dollar coins on Sears, Roebuck, and Co paying off my credit card bill. By the time I had unrolled and counted 9 rolls worth of coins the cashier kid was still standing there dumbfounded after only "possibly making it through" 3 rolls worth. I think he was so confused he just started faking it. He called over the older guy and asked him to help count. The older guy didn't want to help and just asked the kid if it was all there. The kid just gave up and said "yes". Afterwards the older guy said "Why don't you just take them to the bank." I told him I get them from the bank and the point is to put them back into circulation. He looked at the stacks of dollars coins and said "They aren't going to circulate" as if to insinuate that Sears was just going to deposit them back at the bank. I told him they would circulate if he would give them back out as change to customers. He said "I don't get it?" $97,434 to go
