Sorry Hello There. You are missing clue #11. Look at my comments on finding clue #11 from the edited clue #10.

There are 15 clues that lead to a final riddle, so 16 clues in all.

This contest is OVER! Congrats to coin_lover, SjlundCoin, and Hello_There!

And a BIG THANK YOU TO jbuck!

And here are the answers:

Hint #1: 250,000

Which leads to: https://goccf.com/t/250000#2101543

Hint #2: The smallest Chinese coin I own.

And so on...:https://goccf.com/t/236746#236746

Clue #3: I was 99% sure that I found this very rare variety, but now I am 100% sure I didn't.

https://goccf.com/t/198902&whichpage=4#2080403

Tip #4: Could this nickel be worth a lot? I don't know yet, but I only paid $10. I felt I could not go wrong.

https://goccf.com/t/249804#249804

Lead #5: TRADITION! in relation to nickels and dimes.

https://goccf.com/t/235105#1965817

Pointer #6: This was my first post. Turned out to be an R-7 (or R-5) variety I sold for $760.

https://goccf.com/t/170412#170412

Key #7: My SAT score was 2230.

https://goccf.com/t/178719#178719

So far, I am having fun at Georgia tech. There is a lot to do, and lots of resources to do those things, such as 3-D printers to print coins [Hint #8].

https://goccf.com/t/245912#245912

Prod #9: Though they look like tools, they were actually made for use as money in China back before 200 BC.

https://goccf.com/t/248567#248567

I am thinking about buying this one. But, how does the patina look to you. I trust the seller, and everything looks correct, but I would like second opinions.

Tip #10: I almost got this half dollar for $2000 less than its value of $2500, but I made a bidding error that made me lose the coin.

https://goccf.com/t/244413#2097436

Clue # 11: Though I missed out on this half dollar, I got a good deal on a colorful half dollar that is now my favorite coin.

https://goccf.com/t/249543#249543

Cue #12: My first Newcomb attribution was an unlikely first, especially with the corrosion on the coin.

https://goccf.com/t/236097#236097

Pointer #13: I really love this ancient gold coin for its rarity and historical significance, more so than the 1913 nickel.

https://goccf.com/t/235371#2019672

Hint #14: So, why do I collect coins? This is a fairly difficult question to answer, especially to a non-collector. However, I answered it to the best of my ability in a class presentation.

https://goccf.com/t/232210#232210

Solution #15: I had a momentary existential crisis when I was trying to buy an 1839 half dollar or a book about the Titanic for a research essay. I came away with the book and an 1829 half dollar.

https://goccf.com/t/178482#178482

Final clue: This famous ship sank into the ocean blue in the year one thousand nine hundred ten plus two. I have an artifact from this ship. What is it? (Hint: it is readily available and legal to buy.)

And the artifact I have is a piece of coal salvaged from the Titanic wreck site during the 1994 expedition. I hope to have a more spectacular artifact someday, but this'll do.

I got a letter in the mail today from TypeCoin971793 and was pleased to find this coin inside!

Luckily it came labeled, cause I would have never been able to identify it myself.

It's a:

Xian Feng Zhang Boa
10 Cash
1851-1861
Xinjiang province, China

Think I found it here: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces58547.html

Pretty cool coin. Think this will be my first coin from China. I especially liked the large size of it. I took pics next to a half dollar to show the size:

And of course I want to give a big thanks to TypeCoin971793 and jbuck for putting this contest together. It must have taken a lot of work!!

And congrats to TypeCoin971793 on 3000++ posts!!

Nice Chinese coin. I like the way they have the hole in the middle, people tend to make bracelets or necklaces out of them.

Congrats and thank you TypeCoin971793 and Jbuck!

An envelope was waiting my arrival home today. In it I found the oldest coin I ever held in my hands, a 1102-1106 10 cash coin. Thank you TypeCoin971793 and congratulations on 3000+ and thank you Jbuck for helping with the contest.
