That is really a nice example. It's been great watching you work toward completion. I wish you the best with those Seated dollars.

Looks like a long labor of love. Congrats.

I did not, but I am very happy with it.

On a side note, the hole in my album for the coin is too big for the coin to fit snugly. it kind of slides around when I am moving the album around or turning that pages. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Nice collection! I didn't know there was a name for it (why 7070?) I tried googling why but no clear answer so far.

@jillabean....7070 stands for the model number of the Dansco album. Dansco has albums for all types of coins and they will all have a number.

Dansco #7070 type set album
Danscos for Ike dollars are #7176
Ike dollars with proofs #8176
proof albums always start with an 8
and they make them for most every denomination

Also....The 7070's are currently out of print and hard to find.

Thanks Debrajc! That would explain why, when I googled it, I got ebay auctions for the Dansco albums.

I had the same problem with one of my large cents. I cut a thin piece from one of the ID cards that come with 2x2 mylar flips & used it as a shim.

Nice set by the way. I started one several years ago & haven't made as much progress you have. I'm still short most of the Half Cents, a couple half dollars, some of the quarters, & one of the Seated dollars.

I wasn't planning on doing this upgrade, but when I saw this coin in the half price bucket at my LCS, I knew I had to get it. In all, this coin cost me $6 after I traded my old one to the shop owner...

The best album for anyone wanted to start A Type Set. Great price for the upgrade CoinCollector2012.

I still have many holes to fill, but I am looking for at least VF quality for some of the coins, plus its the newer style 7070 with the Bicentennial page. I added the gold page 2 years ago, surprisingly I have finished the gold page before the other pages.
