I find it interesting how there are so many people outside of the USA who are interested enough collect modern US coins. Especially enough to pull together an entire set of State Quarters!

Hi Al, thought you might want to sit back and see all 100 State Quarters. I just completed this, they're all BU from US Mint Sets although some of them were abused some in their packaging. It's a slideshow so I hope you enjoy and keep plugging! I'm hoping you get all of them.

g,day
thanks for your message of support,What is BU ?, I do have a couple of sets in the books, one is all circulated the other is mostly UNC, I am just posting pics of all the spares I ended up with.

how did you end up with the side by side photos do you use a special program, then convert it to a slide show, I have been trying to use Net Paint but not successful yet.
did you actually collect all 100 coins from proof mint sets?
don't you lose the value of the mint set once it has been opened?

Hi Al, so sorry, BU=Brilliant Uncirculated..

I take my photos and then use photoshop to create my one picture side by side of each coin. Then use with the use of a little html and javascript I created the slideshow.

As long as the coins are not touched they are still brilliant uncirculated. I like my coins either in slabs or in a Dansco (where these now sit).

As far as the value is concerned, maybe, but we're not talking about 90% silver or coins of 100+ years or coins that are extremely rare. I'm a collector first and I like to enjoy my coins by looking (not touching) at them in a slab or a dansco album. These are not sitting in a dansco and I get to enjoy looking at them by flipping the pages.

Good Luck with your collection, please keep sending the pics, I'm enjoying watching your collection grow.

G,day
the photoshop disk here in Aus sells for about 1500.00 so that is out for me, thanks for the reply, I have no desire to use the slabbed coin after I saw their video handling the coins with bare hands it takes about 6 months or more
till the skin oil on the coin starts to show,!the only coin album I like is the US State Quarter one with the slide in coin slots, terrific album, the other push in coin ones I have had no success with pushing my fingers through the outer cover etc. so most of my sets are in 2x2 cards in A4 folders, probably too old to change hey!!
Kind Regards Al
