Kyra...it is a standing joke between Terry,Gary,RG and me....  A.O.D. means "Ambassador of the Darkside", they were awarded this distinction by virtue of all the Aussie coins they were buying thereby helping out with our see-sawing economy.....[:p] Edited by lim118

It is a priviledge and honor to be an A.O.D. as very few in the history of the world has received such an award. Go ahead Kyra check the world records as the award is so SCARCE and RARE (2 words seldom used in this hobby) that only lim118, Gary and myself have knelt, in our thoughts, before MOM The Queen of CC as she placed the Sword of World Crowns on our shoulders and we drank from the chalice of Gold Coins to receive the award of A.O.D.! It is like being Knighted only better and now we are members of the A.O.D. Roundtable (shaped like a coin) and have a permanent seat at such. We are also official VOTING members so we get to cast our coin for new members of the A.O.D. (I think we may be on to something here?) What a distingushed group and now to add new members as there is strength in numbers just as collections? Now if we can just get Congress to approve our new commemorative coin to build the castle and musuem we A.O.D. members need to carry on our mission and spread the force throughout the world? Hey Gary, see you at the Round Table we have things to discuss!

So how many Aussie coins does one have to own before one can become an A.O.D.? I have a few, but more Euros and Maple Leafs (Ambassador of Grayside?) than anything else... Rachel [:p] |

Having "known" The Queen, 'er Kyra, for some time, I would be happy to have her join Terry and I as a fellow "A.O.D." Since there are currently only two of us in this elite group, I would wait for Terry's judgement.
I guess in terms of cash funds being spent, there are many more deserving than myself of the title A.O.D. However, I feel that I have done my share to import money into the down under. In the last few weks I have bought the entire 1 ounce Australian Lunar Series, the Kookaburas, cases to house said coins, and some Kangaroos. For a former teacher on a fixed income, that adds up to some spending!
The fault? The Aussie mint for producing such beautiful specimens.

Oh Great! Kyra NOW must kneel before the A.O.D.'s and beg...er...bribe...er...pray...or maybe just plead her case. We are finally going to find out what it is like to be Queen, or King, or something like that! Gee, can't wait to hear how she answers this one! Guess when we add that 3rd member we can elect officers and forge ahead with our A.O.D. membership drive!!! And to think, this forum made it all possible! Now we will have to get together and find some incentitives to drive everyone crazy until they have to join us!!!
