With the rolls the coins get banged around just once then they are pretty secure.
With the bags they get banged around every time they are moved.

I guess it would be OK if you discarded the coins on the ends of the roll, and only kept those that were in the middle. The two end coins always contain massive circles, and they look so ugly that they make me want to puke.

I automatically reject coins that carry these circles, even if they would otherwise be in almost uncirculated condition, because they are like nails down a chalkboard to me.

My biggest fear is that I'll eventually find one of these circles on a coin that I really need in my collection, and that I'll have to waste lots of time trying to find one in better condition.

I don't mind a few small nicks here and there, but to completely deface coins by leaving massive circles on them looks highly unprofessional, and I can't understand why security companies like Armaguard and Chubb allow this to happen. I always thought it was a criminal offence to deface public coinage, so I'm surprised they haven't been sued for this.

Just to be certain -- the regular one or the anniversary/commemorative one?

I've noodled four of these already, in just $240 worth of 50c coins. I think they're going to disappear very quickly, because everyone I talk to wants one. Now, I'm getting requests for the 1991 release, so I'm going to have to start noodling that as well.
