Here is what PCGS had to say about it. I wonder if the company that submitted it had anything to do with the grade.

Seems like a bit of a stretch to me. It does have really nice eye appeal, so maybe that gave it a bump. I'd expect the top of the wheat stalks to be fully visible if you want to get into VF territory though.

Kind of a generous grade given the detail I saw in the photos. Did you agree with the grade when you bought it?

I had it around a 15, but I was in the city and they gave me a bunch of free stuff. I may have over payed a little, but I had the opportunity to look at the Pogue coins in person. It was more of a souvenir for me.

I guess if you knew the person submitted it, there will be a leeway to the upside. Connection is always important. F15 is solid but is borderline vf20

I can see a little cheek/jaw separation in the slab photo, that must be what they used.

Wow! The flat wheat kernels negate any chance at a VF grade. F15 would be generous with F12 the honest grade.

I was thinking VG-10 at first, then changed mind to F-12 or so. VF is a stretch.

I would have said F15, but if there is going to be a nod given, I guess the Key Dates should get it
