GoldenChest,

Your note may be a diamond in the rough, I'm surprised to see a single digit back plate number, as my Natick errors all have the same back plate number 3128..

I can't make out your front plate number, mine are #2097 & 2099, I seldom see a 4 digit plate number paired with a single digit number..

(since your serial number is near the end of the Natick RUN [63], I'm curious if the single plate number was for RUN 64)!

Here's another rarity in my collection. This is the only known 1882 $10 Date Back known on this bank.

My rarest note is this Dallas.

Not because it's totally rare, but there is NO other $1000 1934 1934 LGS known in unc at both services (PMG and PCGS) until today.

My $1000 1934 LGS set would have any chance to be complete without this Dallas. So there wasn't a choice, I had to buy it...

By the way: This was the most expensive note I've ever bought. I was crazy that time, but today I'm happy with this purchase.

My rarest Notes are all errors, both USA & Global..

I'm in the process of having 3 PMG certifed errors (classified as experimental) reholdered in a 3-Note Holder as there were only 3 Blocks since the series 1963 introduction of the $1.00 FRN that have the overprint on back classified as experimental issues, and I believe it would be almost unique to have a complete set in one holder..

When I receive it I can start a thread of rare Global Errors, and look forward to other members posts..

And that $1,000 Dallas Note is awesome..

I'll finish off the rarest notes in my collection with this piece. Absolute rag, but a very scarce early silver certificate. 1880 $10.

The rags need love too.

I've considered getting it graded just to preserve it. The paper is so thin and worn out you can see through it. I'm all about handling my currency, but the last time I transferred this note into a hard casing to protect it, I thought it was going to disintegrate in my hands.

Tough call. Guessing PMG/PCGS would understand best how to handle this, no doubt better than either of us. I would go ahead and do it.

AFAIK... This is my rarest note. I have some Euro note that I need to research that MAY qualify. Not too sure yet. But anyway, here you go!

I'm late to this party, but glad I found this thread.
What a wonderful assortment of beautiful, rare notes, each one with a great story. All of you should be proud.

My rarest note is plain looking but I know of less than 8 that have surfaced in the last 50 years.

silverbob - nice Bison, most rag pickers only dream of owning one.

Steve - thanks for this.

Rare? Yes, at least in this condition (last time I checked it was pop 1/0, yadayada).

Value? Not much.
