Those are very interesting, considering how easy they would be to lose. Was there a need for such a small denomination? No but they did use 1/4's --13.5mm, 1/2's----18mm and 1/3rd's of a farthing Here is a third of a farthing 1876 ----15mm There is a 1/32nd which I am missing.
Cheers Don

This is a 1902-B Swiss 1 Rappen coin that comes in at 16mm. Cool idea for a thread!

I have lots of tiny ancients, but here is one of the smallest that I have next to a US cent for size reference: Unknown Vandal or Gothic coin, ca. 450-600 AD, styled after "SALVS REIPVLICE" AE4 of Valentinian III. About 8mm in diameter and just under a gram. I have several in the 5-7mm range, but those are mostly featureless little chunks of metal.

I posted this picture in a different thread a couple of years to show the size difference between my largest and smallest coins:

I posted this one a while back. 10 Öre, Sweden 1857 at 13mm diameter. (Dagaz, believe it or not but these coins were increased in size at one time. Yours is bigger at 15mm)
