I would say lamination, but where the part of N would be, nothing is there. Could it be that there was a lamination that peeled off the part of N and then the lamination you see now, like a double lamination? Not sure about this one. Let's see what Coop says.

Looks like a struck through debris to me. A piece of thin metal was struck onto the coin in that location. Looks like the rest is still attached to the field. Strange one.

I love the Woodies, but I thought that Laminations were always at some point on the coin attached to the rim.
