Congrats to dd27. The reason why this coin is more than a 'normal' Indian Head cent is that it's an 1859 coin. It's the only year with this reverse. According to the catalogues, this condition should do around $21. So I think he did a good deal here. For this round: $2

Just in case you missed it--as I initially did--we are guessing the price murty paid for this lovely coin in 1971. Experienced members probably didn't miss that wee detail, but for the other newbies out there, I thought I would point it out, so that you won't be  next Wednesday.
