The reason that I asked folk's opinion on value is I don't know how to value something so rare. I think this is the only set like it. I believe there are about 10-12 silver 1965 dimes and quarters. The half, I think less than 5. How do you value you the Mona Lisa? Not the same thing, but the same idea.

Probably the cheapest way to test what you have is the tissue test. Take a single sheet from a two ply tissue. Place a known silver silver coin with one of these coins. If they both look white in color, then they are both silver. If it is not silver the color will it appear gray.

They are all slabbed PCGS so I can't touch the coins.

Due mostly to the high number of trolls on the internet, unless you show pictures of the PCGS labels there are going to be many who will doubt what you have. Showing the labels will let everyone stop the questions on validity and move on to your valuation questions.

You can lay the tissue over the slabs.

Might want to check for your 1971D half against HA website. Looks like a match to me. Thanks, Doug.

The tissue test will work on slabs and even in an album. You don't have to remove them. But I believe the authority you have on the graded coin.

That is really cool, value wise, throw it in an auction with a reserve and see what it goes for

Though it would still be nice to see pictures you take of the coins with their PCGS labels visible, instead of just copying Heritage's picture.

I appreciate the suggestions of pictures. However, my coins are in the bank in a vault, so it's an effort to get them and take a picture. I posted pictures from the dealers that I bought them from, so we all have pictures.

I have no reason to fake that I have these coins. Plus, regardless, I think it's an interesting and fun question as to what people think this is worth, even if someone else owned it. So let's just have some fun and talk about it, what do we have to lose?
