Looks like a clashed die. http://www.error-ref.com/?s=clash

The line on the reverse could be from a die crack. http://www.error-ref.com/?s=die+crack

You are welcome.

You have a very nice error coin and it could be worth something to error collectors. I don't know how much it is worth.

You could search for similar coins on auction sites to see what the prices are.

Enjoy your great coin!

Not uncommon to find these errors with Colombia coins (and a few other South American countries as well)

Quality control at those mints is not as good as for example, the U.S., U.K., and Canadian mints.

Closely examine enough Colombian, Venezuelan, etc. etc. and you'll find some coins with minor errors like this. I have found them with filled numbers / letters, Cuds, weak strikes / Struck Through Grease, rotated dies, etc..

Don't know what it would be worth but it's a very interesting coin to have in your collection. Enjoy! .

Hi Buddy and Harry213 :
Thanks for your time .Yes ,I agree with Harry213 ,there is a lot of errors in Colombian coins.I am going to give you another example of that argument:

In Colombia there is a proverb that says : " if you donīt want soup you will get two cups" .Finishing last night to search on the bunch of Colombian coins that I bought recently ,(the same bunch where I found the 20 cents 1967 coin) , I found another 20 cents coin ,but this time from 1969 ,and what surprise ! it was a " Twin " of the 20 cents 1967 coin .( the 1969 made with the same die of the 1967 ? ).Here are the pictures:

Harry213 wrote that clashes were common so I think you just found another clash. All clashes of that coin will appear similar with clash marks appearing in the fields.

I do not believe it was made with the same dies. The obverse die has a different date and there is no evidence suggesting that old date was scraped off or that the new date was punched on top of the old date.

There are similar die cracks on both but, the older coin has die breaks that are more advanced (worse) than the newer coin and I don't think it is possible for the die to improve with age.

Still -- nice find! If they are common like Harry213 posted, then it might be fun to put together a set of those.

Enjoy!
Rest in Peace

Indeed, the die crack is present on the reverse of the 1967, but not there in 1969, can't be the same die either. The clash mark isn't exactly in the same place either.

Still, another interesting piece with the clash being very pronounced. It seems Colombian coinage offers good possibilities for an error/variety collector!

Hello Nickelodeon:
Thanks a lot for your words .With the other comments on the Forum ,they make me feel happy .Looking on the same bag ,with the same date, 1967 , I found this one Colombian coin ,but on 50 cents denomination , also with a clash, but in this case on the other side ( with respect to the 20 cents coin )
