Quote: what's the point of platinum then? You need to be Platinum Plus or Platinum Prestige to get earliest advance notice. Buy $5000 or more and you get to order first. Actually, Platinum ($2000) is kind of useless because you don't get a free case anymore.

The sellout was predicted, thanks for info. By buying the RCM subscription, the customer not obligated to buy all the coins. And since one of the significant items comes first - will be not few cancellations after the Dollar will be delivered. On the good note: not all 2150 coins have been allocated for subscriptions. Some amount kept as singles - and these will be possible to catch here and there. As well subscriptions - could be CC&C and CA will have some.

As mentioned, these are expensive coins with increased mintage and kind of again over doing a theme you just burn out the collecting community, plus other dealers will have stock

It's hard to get to 5000 in spending when all the higher priced items get sold out before the lower tier or no tier guys can get it. Big Coin subscriptions, Murano Glass Coins, etc.

The coins sold out because they are commissioned by Steve Bromberg. There will be plenty of opportunities to buy it at other dealers.
Of the six coins, the dollar goose coin is the one to get. The first coin in the series always do better than others. Plus there a plenty of silver dollar collectors out there and the 1967 dollar is really popular. It is also a good companion piece to the renewed Voyageur dollar.

Big Coin subscriptions, Murano Glass Coins, etc. None of the higher price items are sold out besides the Big Coin subscription. The one Kilo coin, the gold Maple Leaf, the gold yin yang, etc. are all available. Neither is the Murano Glass tree sold out. The Murano glass series is dead as a doornail.

I deleted it, but I was about to hit submit on how the Mint treats it's SPECIAL MC members (not the hidden levels), but, I'm sure many others feel the same I don't need to say anything. At least I get the buy the crap that will loose money.

The artificial sell outs burn me more. These are just like the original maple leaf shaped coin... have them commissioned, buy them all up, mark up the price.

If it sells, it's to someone that loves the hobby more than me!

Sure wish the fields were mirrors, rather than etched. The frosting would look better contrasted against mirrored fields.

Quote:http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2017-Canada-...i=RTM2247627 This seller is asking $2500 for the goose dollar. :/ This is the same listing (Item ID and Seller) , that 12 hrs ago was CAD 999 and Best Offer. So...the seller decided that $999 it is too cheap, and updated the price to $2500. (he ordered 3 subscriptions, so paid for 3 coins, probably tries by "first shot" to cover the purchase).

I am glad that I reserved a set though my rep. They are very nice looking coins and should hold their value. My only concern was ensuring I have enough leeway in my budget for other releases during 2017 as I suspect there will be great choices.
