i won this off ebay recently..it was a poorly done listing so I snagged it for $50 due to a bad description and the seller showed the obverse as the main photo instead of the reverse..iv'e never seen one before and dating it pre 1948 is pretty cool.  Feel free to call me Will.

Nice, I saw that coin too but was afraid someone had just taken some acid and played around with it. Really need to hone my coin skills

SPP would have a view I am sure. I would have thought more like $100. You see Elizabeth examples much more frequently.

@smallcentguy could you see if you can find any markers on the obverse of your example? i'd love to see if mine is a later state from the same die cap as yours. here's a marker I found on mine, a die chip on the top left are of the second. G of GEORIVS...see if yours maybe has the same marker.

Have you weighed the coin yet? The more I look at this coin, the more I tend to think it is a legit cap strike...
