Three pounds was also a common denomination in Ireland up until around 1915.
Two 30 Shilling notes would get you one £3 note!

My favourite denomination of any banknote!
I have some $3 US obsoletes in my collection also.

Another Three!
3 Rubel 1916. Issued in Pozna#324;. German on the face, Polski and Lithuanian on the reverse, the third language is not Estonian, so possibly Latvian? Interesting to have a Rubel issue with Russian language absent.
