Quote: And that's how they get you in, plus the food. When I was a kid I remember them handing out booklets of coupons out on the sidewalks. Or even little baggies full of swag like pens and playing cards. My parents seem to have amassed quite a collection of these. I will never need to buy another deck of cards in my life. My mother won a half ounce gold nugget from a free spin they gave her on the street.

I remember those books. All I ever won spinning the wheel was a very cheap hat. That I just happened to leave behind.

Have had these since a Vegas trip in 1980 with my parents. Figured I would contribute to the thread. I love the old dollar slot coins. Silverbird - Barbary Coast Castaways - Flamingo Hilton Maxim

Very nice scopru! I see you're putting your camera to good use. Thanks for your reminder on the Dansco. I got the sleeve yesterday for my Washington album.

Came across this one today, not beat up so most likely stashed away as a souvenir before it had been used much in gaming. Always like finding such from one of the "classic" Las Vegas establishments. A lot going on design-wise with it. The Lido de Paris show being promoted was a Las Vegas institution, running for decades. See: http://www.onlinenevada.org/article...ardust-hotel
