Quote: No: TDLR means Thomas DeLa Rue, one of the 'big guns' in the banknote printing industry. Quote: The stylistic image on the left of this 5 Dinar is a "heraldic eagle" featured on this note from Libya (P-36b) according to the Standard Catalogue of World Paper Money. Very nice!

An Argentine 1 Peso from 1873 with a rhea, probably Darwin's rhea or lesser rhea as that seems to be the one found in Argentina. I've only seen them in a zoo

This could use a bump so here goes: This P-5a, 100 Shillings from Uganda, is from 1966 & surprisingly inexpensive considering its age (UNC condition). This note has "For Bank of Uganda" whereas the tough P-4a note doesn't have this text. It features the crowned crane on the front:

Quote:Fantastic! Thanks jbuck! I like it too. Here's a $2.00 note featuring Paul Bogle & a hummingbird on the front. The back features "Students of Central Branch Primary School (Kingston), representing the different races which make up the Jamaican population," & the slogan, "out of many, one people." P-69e is from the very last (1993) issue of the $2.00 which was replaced by a coin. I taught in Jamaica for 2 years (1995-1996) & saw one of these $2.00 notes once or twice in fair to poor condition. The reason is that a $2.00 would be worth about 0.04 USD at the time (50 Jamaican dollars were approximately $2 USD). I wanted to get a few low denoms but they were almost impossible to find, so it is nice to finally get an UNC example (even if it took me 28 years to do so). Better late than never, I guess
