Thanks for the info, lettow.

Wow, you really hit a home run with those Chinese notes! Where in the world did she get them?

Especially since all the others seem to range from worthless to low-value at best!

I'm speechless that both of these Chinese notes are scores. I literally stumbled upon these while purchasing some arrowheads from a lady in Texas. I learned from the lady, that she had some coins, only by luck. I had left her my business card, which states that I buy arrowheads & old US coins. When I went back to look at the coins, I was greatly disappointed and let down, to see mostly foreign coins, because I only collect US. I had picked exactly 5 coins(4 IHC's & 1 SL dime) out, and was completing my $6 transaction, when the first note posted caught me eye. I've never even taken a picture, or give a second glance at anything of foreign origin. It was also the first time in my life I've ever purchased anything other than US.
Back to where these came from, well I really don't know. She told me that she got everything from a guy that was cleaning out an old house, that had sat empty, after the WW 2 vet that had lived there, had passed away. It's a miracle that they survived the dumpster, and even a bigger miracle that I ended up with them. I feel blessed. I'd like to once again thank you all for all your efforts & help. I guess my next step will be to get these graded.

As a foreign coin and currency collector, this is exactly the kind of unexpected thing I dream of finding at some point. I always enjoy looking through dealer's foreign bins hoping to find something they didn't care to check.

I'm glad that it worked out for all parties! Keep us posted when the notes come back from grading.

I would definitely get these notes graded. With Chinese banknotes it authentication is key. There are too many fakes.

It is unusual to find 2 high value notes in a low value collection. I certainly hope that you have found some valuable notes.

I have purchased Chinese notes as part of world banknote collections and sadly they were all fakes.

Can someone point me in the right direction to get these graded? I went to my LCS thinking that I would be able to submit through them, wrong. Then I went to look for a local coin show coming to town, nothing. Someone posted for me to join PGCS?

If I ever need anything graded, my LCS sends it in, so I don't have a good answer. Sorry!

Go to the PMGNOTES.COM website and look for a dealer near you who will assist you in submitting your two Chinese notes for certification and grading. You may end up at a storefront, or a knowledgeable collector in your may be the contact.

Thanks Pax, I'll give it a look. I just went there, I'm assuming all these contacts are reputable dealers that I can submit to? Will the dealers charge a fee, or only the grading company?

Well I finally gave up on PMG, I'm just going to wait for the next coin show in Houston in August. I emailed everyone in Houston, and only two responded back, one was out of business & the other had moved to New Mexico.
