Valid but Incorrect guesses so far:Douglas Washington Ronald Donald Raymond Arnold Horatio Frank Michael John Leroy Calvin No middle name Edward William (valid despite the typo because Wiiliam is not an alternative spelling) Victor Mark Benjamin Augustus George Brian (sorry Crazyb0) Thomas Hints Given: - It is more than one syllable. - A person significant to U.S. coinage bore this as a first name. - None of the guesses so far start with the correct letter (true when I first gave the hint). - A person with this as a first name appears on a U.S. Mint public issue. New Hints: -Trout1105 is the closest so far. (I don't count that as an actual guess so you're good to make a valid one ) I have more hints to give but have a feeling there are some hold-outs around here waiting for it to be narrowed down.

Update:Joseph is incorrect because John was already guessed before the "first letter" hint. Please read the hints as there have been several guesses with an incorrect first letter and/or syllable count after those respective hints were given and I hate to see wasted guesses. Summary: Valid but Incorrect guesses so far: Douglas Washington Ronald Donald Raymond Arnold Horatio Frank Michael John Leroy Calvin No middle name Edward William (valid despite the typo because Wiiliam is not an alternative spelling) Victor Mark Benjamin Augustus George Brian (sorry Crazyb0) Thomas Joseph Hints Given: - It is more than one syllable. - A person significant to U.S. coinage bore this as a first name. - None of the guesses so far start with the correct letter (true when I first gave the hint and is still true). - A person with this as a first name appears on a U.S. Mint public issue. -Trout1105 is the closest so far. (not an official guess, but true) Question: do I get a prize for making a simple contest so complicated?

I think you will have to put a dead line on this so the rest of us will answer.

Update with Rule Change:Starting at 12:00:00 AM EST (Forum Time) 2/9/2017, members will be allowed one guess per day until there is a winner. This allows members who have not guessed yet some time to get one in. The first to guess correctly is the winner. Summary: Valid but Incorrect guesses so far:Douglas Washington Ronald Donald Raymond Arnold Horatio Frank Michael John Leroy Calvin No middle name Edward William (valid despite the typo because Wiiliam is not an alternative spelling) Victor Mark Benjamin Augustus George Brian Thomas (twice) Joseph Ulysses Stonewall Hints Given - Please Read: - It is more than one syllable. - A person significant to U.S. coinage bore this as a first name. - A person with this as a first name appears on a U.S. Mint public issue. ***The first letter hint applied with my last update and I will leave it at that and will not be continuing that hint. Thanks!

Aww, I was sure I had it! Does the forum run on Eastern Standard Time? If so, I'll be back in two hours with my next guess...
