AngieEllen, You got some good advice (and kidding) from everyone above. Good folks on here. They will help you a lot. As some stated above, I sort them by year, and then start with the earliest and find out everything I can about them, varieties, errors, etc. Then move on to the next year. You don't have to rush at it, That way it's enjoyable and not overwhelming. Good Luck

Thank you everybody for the advice and laughs! My favorite thing about coin collecting isn't the coin itself it is the History. Just to hold a worn 1918 P penny and look at the scratches and wonder what it had seen before ending up in that coffee can. If only Pennies could talk....
I Know I will be on here again many times to check back in and ask more questions! Thank you agsin for your support. I feel better about them now. Just as long as I do a little at a time.

If only I were in Oregon. I would love to spend a couple hours with you going through that coffee can of Wheat cents!!
