.. A question regarding dipped coins and grading,...why is this not noted on the ICCS holder?

It was the standard procedure back in the 70's and 80's..and if done quickly, "no one" knows ,.

...but then again..'all' (most that I know) of the dealers did it back then..and then all silver was placed in 2x2's..(and now hard slabs).

They were not damaged in a quick dip.. and the usually ugly toning falls away..and you're left with "blast white"..

..which still might go back to beautiful golden as seen on many coins after a few more decades sitting without movement..

i began looking @
the 1935 Cdn.ag.$1.00
15 years ago(2002)..at that time
i thought perhaps 30 % may have
been melted for silver content
etc..now however I believe few
where..because of the Commemorative
aspect..
judging by the numbers available for
sale..still a worthy coin
regards

Sorry, lousy shot of the reverse. Love this coin.
Doesn't look dipped to me, but I could be wrong. Looks like mint lustre in real life. Any chance this is MS?

rockfish..

Your dollar looks like Gem MS even though the obverse is a bit fuzzy..the fields still look near perfect..

Try holding the camera lens perfectly parallel to the coin next time..That should help keep the total surface in sharp focus..
