Project 100k - Circulating Two Dollar Bills The Next Round

Spent a two dollar bill at the bank getting a roll of nickels. The teller/ manager was surprised to see a two and told me that he liked these bills.

My last three weeks' usage of $2 bills was $1942 for farmers market change and bill paying. I had to turn in for replacement $2 of bills because they were so badly ripped or otherwise mutilated and I cannot use them like that for change to customers. One was a 1963 bill, the first in a while.

The owner doesn't like me spending halves and dollar coins and 2's there.

Yesterday his wife mentioned I hadn't been there in a while and the day before someone else had spent a half.

Somehow the topic of valuable money came up and he pulled out an envelope he had been saving of odd bills.

In there was a Minneapolis $20 National Currency / Federal Reserve note and a couple of 1957 Silver Certificates.

I told him due to the condition they weren't worth more than face.
