A tear drop falls when I look closely at this Half Dime, and not for the sentimentality of a romantic lovers initials that are lightly scratched in the field to the right of Liberty.
They are barely visible but they are there. The images I supply do not show just how nice this coin is otherwise.
Lots of luster, probably AU no problem. Doh!

Here is a US Large Cent from 1844, with a bunch of pin hole starts and scratches. They look like they are fresh, but predate my ownership of this coin (16 years).
