Quote: I guess it would be possible to get it free with ebay bucks...after spending $33,000 on eBay Maybe not so plausible after all, but still not impossible. Again, I do not see that as an efficient use of their reward. If they spent that much to earn it, I would have to assume their interests are varied enough to spend it more wisely.

Haven't got any promotions in the last 3 months. Do they do those anymore?

Forgot about the promos...I do get those offers but they are usually limited to categories that I don't buy from...

Wow that sucks. Maybe it's time to get a new (alternate) account

I say buy. And if you don't like it then just return it. Seems like the better alternative than missing out if it sells out then having to pay secondary prices.

Sadly the emails isn't it. I still get bombarded with ebay emails. I've very much taken advantage of the bucks for the past couple of years, probably averaging a couple hundred back each quarter. Guess they thought I'd continue buying at that level without them, but they were wrong.

Quote: you guys give me the pros and cons on getting this 4 coin set. I can not decide , to buy or not to buy. First off, you've got to remember that these are medals not coins. Do you collect medals? are you planning on starting to collect medals? or are you hoping for investment potential, either short or long term? Did you get the single release medal and want these 4 to have a complete set? My impression is that not as many people collect medals, so the market may not be as broad as for a coin. Of course no one knows what will happen with any of these 2017 medals, but a data point you may want to consider are the 9/11 10 year anniversary National Medals issued in 2011. Issue price for each was $66.95 (pre-issue $56.95). Today you can pick up both of the P & W medals off ebay for less than the issue price of either one. Mintage for the P medal was about 68,000 and for the W it was about 110,000.
