I thought about it, but decided against it. I personally think that any of the 5oz ATB P coins are a better deal at US$150 for 5oz (compared to US$200 for 4oz) and may have a better chance of at least holding their value. Also, I don't think there is that much demand - the stand-alone medal available since Jun 2017 sold just under 47k thus far. Hence, 50k may be sufficient to meet market demand.

Quote: I really do NOT believe this set will be available later Tomorrow night It will be interesting to see when and if this sells out. I am surprised we do not have more activity in this thread.

Not too surprised on the lack of activity. Judging by what I was reading here and other forums it didn't seem to be as popular as last years. I still got them. Saw them in person at the LB coin show and the reverse proof really got my attention. We'll see if I still feel the same once I have it in hand.

I kinda agree but I would defer to the bullion version at around $100+...two of the last three are seeing decent premiums over purchase price I think the blah and steady mintage of the recent P's show zero room for advancement

Purchased mine at noon w/o issue. Definitely does not have the same buzz as other limited sets - it's the "medal vs. coin" factor.

I think I got a mailer with the code on it a while ago but then I also saw it posted on another forum. It was a helpful reminder. Wish I had remembered to post it on here and help save everyone 5 bucks.

"Anniversary" code for free shipping of anniversary items was on a postcard I received from the U.S. Mint

@omxfl you may be right, but then again the stand alone medal has an unlimited mintage which may have scared off many. Limit of 50k as well as the appeal of a 4 medal set may entice more buyers.

I too thought there would of been much more discussion on this topic. I see others take on this " Medal set " as if it was a pure $$$$$ move. People are into Medals and coins, then there are people into, Medals and coins and speculation, I believe We have them all here. I also believe this Anniversary set will sell out and grow along with the interest for the set, once no longer available... We will see!!!!

This morning received an email from the mint about this set going on sale today. Is this made by the U.S. Mint for South Africa? Are they making the Krugerrands here also?
Edit: Never mind, just read the details of the Mint's description in the email they sent. Apparently it's for the commemoration of our own U.S. Liberty.
