Undetached lamination? Also, the 9 in the date is upside-down.

Common occurrence?

We do see laminations posted to CCF with some regularity. Others who are more knowledgeable will have to weigh in with how common they are and how much of a premium something like this brings. I'll ask the mods to move your thread over to the area where the LWC aficionados hang out.

That's one to put into a flip. Woodgrain...attached lamination...nice grade coin.

That is spectacular! - But why is it covering he S like that? Could it be something else (aside from a LAM) like, well, I don't know? I just never saw a LAM like this one - if that is what it is.

Possibly the LAM got tweaked during the life of the coin.

I'm leaning towards lamination error woody. Can you get a shot of the reverse as well? Sometimes the lamination error shows up on both sides.
Rest in Peace

Nice find! If the reverse is in similar condition -- circulated but not scratched -- I would guess that coin to be worth anywhere from $8 to maybe $32 dollars.

Error coin prices are all over the place so it just depends upon finding the right customer.

Keeper!

The lam isn't even noticeable from the side.
