Also with all those beautiful French notes I have just bought a catalogue of French Currency (written in French so that will be interesting - Les Billets de la Banque Francais) and I am thinking of making a type collection of those as soon as I put the finishing touches to my English signature collection. Arkie Pillar of the Community United States 2637 Posts	Posted 09/09/2017 2:39 pm Pretty sure that they were issuing Reichsmarks in 1937, not Rentenmarks. Might be that 1923 was the issuing date, and 1937 was the date the note could be redeemed for something of value in Berlin. Report this Post to the Staff

Quote: The first issue of banknotes was dated 1 November 1923 and was in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 Rentenmark.
