Just wondering - has anybody found one of these twoonies circulating here in British Columbia? Coast Capital Savings is affiliated with Desjardins - maybe I'll ask there.

Here in Montreal you don't get to see them in circulation I guess people that got the coins are conserving them since it's not every year that you get to celebrate a 400th anniversary of a Province.

Andre, I thank you very much for your offer to assist, and will not hesitate to ask you for the meaningm or translation of a word, or phrase. At the moment the only word I can think of is "avec". I see it used extensively in the posts, and while I get the general gist of the comments, there are some that don't come thru. You posted a link to another forum, and there is where I ave been 'lurking", but I lost the info when my machine went Ka-put"! I don't know which one it was,but I'll "read the mail", and find it, or them again. Dick

That's a simple one I think I can answer 'avec' means 'with'.
'without' is 'sans' which is actually used even in english...

Marc, thanks. I had it pegged as anything but with! The forum I'm looking for has a lot of the members using about everything I have heard, and now and again I run into a new word. I was in French, and also Catala'. I was quite at home with that! Dick

Just got back from Quebec yesterday and happy to report that I found 1 in circulation in E. Ontario near Brockville on the St. Lawrence. My dad was there also and picked up a couple at the Caisse Populaire in Quebec City. There are now 3 fewer in Canada:)

I guess that anybody outside Quebec may have better chance to get these coins even if they don't have an account with them. They must be getting close to run out of them since many of them around my place they are out of these coins and they tell you to watch your change .
