I wouldn't worry too much about the government hunting you down sending you to federal prison. As Mike Diamond said this has happened before, and those people haven't been in any trouble for possessing them. If you had made the coin it may have been a different story. I would think it would be best for you to just be honest and upfront with everyone. You have done nothing wrong, all you have done is find the coin. I would hold on to it for a while also, Don't rush into a sale. If it is valuable now, it will be more-so in the future after the word of it's existence has spread. I would check and find out what the graders policy would be on such a coin. If they are required to send it back to the mint, I would pass on getting it graded. I would think that you could call them, or maybe have Susan check into it if she is a member at PCGS. I'm sure you could find out with a few phone calls to the various third party graders. I'm sure you are in a dizzy state right now (and I don't mean New Jersey). I've enjoyed this thread immensely and don't want to see it die right now. We'll keep you all posted on the status as things develop, but it's going to be a little while before there's anything else to report. By the way, I fixed my weight post that was posted incorrectly. Sadly I won't me making an offer on eel's coin.. as I can't even afford silver coins at melt right now haha though the gov't IS supposed to be stimulating me bank account sometime soon..
