Here is something I bought a while back from Harbor Freight. I was browsing the store and checked out the available storage bins and thought this one might work for me for my extra 2x2's. Also, I think it was priced really cheap at the time ($2.50 - $3.50?)

I bought one and when I got home I checked it out; the 2x2's fit nicely except that the depth was just too small to re-latch the top. I ended up cutting the height of my 2x2's by about 1/8th inch (on the 'bottom' side) and then they fit great.

What I like most is that I can easily (and securely) tote this around with the one handle and not worry about any coins falling out. The individual storage bins are helpful too.I mostly have proof coins stored in it now along with some oddball coins.

Unfortunately, when I went back to buy a few more I found they were sold out. I'm not sure if they were a 'one shot' item or they are periodically available.

I have a couple of those portable parts storage containers that I use for pen turning kits, blanks, bushings and related. Never thought to use for 2x2s. Great idea.

I use mostly Albums for my coins. I get them free from dealers at coin shows. If you find a coin show, ask dealers if they have any Albums they don't want. Many buy collections in Albums and take all the coins out to be sold separately. Usually they throw the Albums away. Ask and they may give you some. I've got well over 100 of them that way.
