Amazing a pawn shop would sell any uncirculated Morgan for $15. In this case it's a $1000 Morgan and maybe more than that.

P.S. Should have no problem making MS63. The strike is typical for this date and the luster is choice.

I'd be in the 62 to 63 grading range.

The thing about pawn shops is you never know how they are going to be. They usually are waaaay overpriced and totaling ignorant of the true market value of what they sell. They can also be like yours......just trying to turn a buck and keep the doors open.

I actually went into one in Ft Smith, Arkansas about 15 years ago. Some things caught my eye and I asked the clerk what he wanted for something. He kept telling me " aw...I really don't want to sell that".. After about 10 of those "I really don't want to sell that" incidents I told them he needs to change the sign from "Pawn Shop" to "Museum"!

He asked me to leave!

Glad you scored big time!

It's nearly impossible to buy anything in the pawn shops here in South Florida. I think ebay has changed things in that regard. Congratulations on a great buy. That is encouragement for me to keep trying!

Got it sent in. The general consensus seemed to be AU 58 no lower with a slight chance of going higher but unlikely. I would be ecstatic if I could just get an MS 60. I'll know by mid August!

Too bad the guy had no sense of humor.

I once bought a graded $100 note from the sPawn Stars shop in Vegas for $180. Sold it a few months later on the bay when I needed some cash for $240. Think about That for a second lol
