However, I think Dearborn may have triumphed in his first attempt at the game! I may be wrong, however, IMO on a technicality, the old currency of UK hasn't been demonetized, and the old currency denominations are now valued at half of their original face value, due to decimalization. e.g. 5 shillings now valued at 25 new pence. Therefore the difference in face value is both 0.5 and/or zero. One scenario has Dearborn's total points as 36 - 17.14 = 18.86 x 0 difference in value = total points of zero (queue the twilight zone theme music) The Ox moves slowly, but the Earth is patient.
