Do you spend the halves or just dump?

I think it is better to spend them if possible. If you spend them, then they are more likely to float around outside the Fed box pool. If you just dump them, then you are more likely to get them again.

What we need to happen is for random people to start keeping one or a few rejects because they dont see halves much. That will remove some of the clad ones :) and hopefully increase our %.

I have two boxes coming Tuesday!

It is almost as much fun discovering what you all find as it is hunting for them myself. Have to wait another week before I hit the road again. My bank is getting tired of all the halves, so it is time to look for another one to dump in, or start spending them. Good luck with those boxes!

When I dumped them in commerce. I filled up like 5 bags and they had to keep changing after every hundred, but since they were cleaning the machines I got almost 40 world coins and tokens. The coins should be coming today. But I have school, so ill pick em up at 4. But I have baseball practicee from 4:15-6. and I have karate from 6:40-7:50.

My Fed Resv. box was the first time I'd been COMPLETELY skunked with those......always found something before........maybe going back to customer wrapped in "out of town" areas is worth trying again .......
I don't want to keep my halves or spend $500.00 worth of them!....so it'll be up to you guys to do that !........keep em' OUT of the Fed. Resv. so that they'll have to start digging WAY IN THE BACK OF THE VAULT for old dusty boxes!.....

I went through 3 1/2 boxes yesterday and came up with only 1 1964, 3 1965's, 4 1967's, and 5 post 2002. Oh and ten mexican pesos. I still have 1/2 box left at work that I have to go through but I'm not very hopeful there will be much of anything in there. 2 of the boxes had absolutely no silver at all.

Yeah but when you factor in the time it takes to get the boxes, dump them at the bank, and all the gas that takes it makes it close to being not worth it.

eaglefoot - consider that finding nothing in a box is the exception to the rule for you. Someone posted that they went through four boxes and found nothing. That would be a blow! I have not had a dry run yet, but am trying to be ready for it.

Absolutely realize that.......but you know the old high expectations thing....I knew the disappointment was inevitable and looming.....but in my case.....my efforts need to have some kind of reward within an acceptable timeframe or I'll discontinue the practice.
With SOME things, I have the patience of a god.......with others....I need the reward with the effort.......dunno.
By the way......this isn't counting $1,200.00 or so of "customer/bank wrapped rolls" that I've been through as well !......and I've come up with a big fat zero on those too !..
