I thought $24 was a great deal, if indeed this coin was GEM BU.

A seller can say what they want about a coin they are selling. It's up to the buyer to do his homework on that coin BEFORE purchase. Next time, instead of buying then putting pictures for grade on here, put the pictures on here FIRST and ask. You will get the information you will need and then have the upper hand with knowledge to make the deal whether it be a private seller or one on ebay..

I received the Lincoln Cent today, but when I put it in a 19mm Lighthouse capsule, the coin got stuck. The only way to remove it was to use flat-nose pliers (the hair dryer trick didn't work this time). Unfortunately, I damaged the rim in a few places. The lesson I learned is to never use 19mm Lighthouse capsules again. These capsules used to work fine when I first bought them in 2007, but when I ordered more a few years later, my cents would get stuck in the 19mm capsules.

How awful. Pliers and coins do not belong together. Let us help if you encounter this sort of situation again. Your bad, hope you have learned something.

Awww man, pliers? If you ever get into that problem again place plastic holder with stuck coin on a piece of aluminum foil then place into a 150 degree oven untill plastic gets pliable then push the coin out of it.

Well, at least I didn't pay $100 for the coin or I would really be mad. I'll try that oven advice if the hair dryer doesn't work. Will a coin be damaged if placed in an oven?

You just wrenched a coin out of a holder with pliers and your worried about an oven damaging a coin? LOL! No really, at 150° all your doing is making the plastic soft, and really it won't be in there that long.
