Quote: Santa heard you were telling people you were good -rggoodie I was simply passing on a Secret memo from Secret Santa's Twit-ter account. Anyway, once again there was a mis-communication. It was my wife who was telling people that I was "good-for-nothing" [not good]. While I can't deny the allegation, I suppose I could run with the popular trend of calling it Fake News or at least Old News. As one infamous CFL referee once told me, "I call 'em as I see 'em & if I don't see 'em I make 'em up." Gotta try to keep things Jolly!

Delivered my package into the trustworthy hands of a Federal Government employee wearing a USPS uniform and a sullen frown today. She was obviously not having a good day. I informed her of the importance of delivering my package since it was going to someone I have never met and she looked at me like I was insane, but then broke into a smile when I told her about the Secret Santa Exchange. So if nothing else I made someone's day happier.

It's Christmas in December! Oh, wait... Santa came today and I made a deal with myself. If the gift was festively wrapped inside the bubble mailer, I would wait till the 25th to open. If it wasn't, it was fair game. Thank you Dustin6 for not wrapping it! Inside, I found my very first coins from Newfoundland! Also included to add to my Jefferson set, was a 1976 MS Jeff with great toning! Thank you very much Dustin and Merry Christmas!

Spruett001, that is quite a nice present you got!! I like these Newfoundland coins!
Nice nickel! I always thought toning is bad for any coin like that? I learnt something new today. For years, I always avoid these coins with toning thinking it will devalue the value of coin itself.

Hi Spruett001,
Nothing wrong with that. Just I am surprised it is OK to collect these coins with toning. :)
That nickel looks lovely and unique with that toning. :)
