Yes mostly--Hartill is my fave for Chinese cash, but there are others.

This prior CCF thread may by of some interest:

As to our continued progress, I have a hole for the decade of AD 1000 to 1010 so I'm hoping to have some more help!

Monthly bump--we are looking for a coin minted in the decade between AD 1000 and 1010.

Well, it took about 9 months, but I'm ready to push back this thread by another decade. Here is another Chinese cast cash: Northern Song, Emperor Zhen Zong (998-1022 AD). This coin dates to between 1008 and 1016 AD and is attributed as Hartill 16.52.

Starting tomorrow morning we can work back to the decade of the 990s. Will we stay in China for that decade or move elsewhere in the world?

I know I have a late 10th century Northern Song piece, but don't recall its date range offhand, and it might be in a 2x2. I'll have to check.

EDIT: it looks like no Chinese coins qualify for the 980s, so that one might take a while.

Here is a Penny issued by Aedelred that dates to between 991 and 997 AD. The moneyer was Aelfsige. I can carry us for a little while, but I'm looking forward to help from @palouche and @j1m--and others!

Hi, these are dated to AH371/2, ~982.

Sorry for my poor photo setup, but it's something!

@Collects82, the 980s aren't due until tomorrow, though it's a neat coin!

@Spence, I'm not sure how much help I'd be; IIRC, after the 990s, my next sufficiently narrowly dated coin is from the 860s, (and I'm not entirely confident of the date) - and after that I have nothing until the 8th century.

Thanks @palouche. We don't go faster than one decade per day in this thread, so we are still on the decade of the 980s today. Then tomorrow we can drop back to the 970s.

Nice coins the last couple of days!

I've got just a single coin from the first millenium, not narrow enough on date range to make it here, but I will enjoy spectating

Glad to hear that you will enjoy the spectating @tdz. @j1m, it should be a little while before we get back to the decade of the 860s, so you've got some time to do more research on your coin.

Here is a Bavarina Denar of King Heinrich II minted in Regensberg. It can be dated to 985 to 995 AD and is attributed as Hahn 22f.1.
