Has some hits on the obverse and looks like could be some "wear" on the reverse (although could just be a 'weak strike' - hard to tell), so not positive it would even get an "MS" rating, although the luster still looks pretty good. Some better photos with a bit more detail and light would help a bit.

I would guess a very high AU at worst or more likely a low/mid MS. Nice Jefferson, but agree with others that not worth getting graded.

EDIT - do you think this is on a dime planchet?

The lettering does not appear to be worn into the rims. They just stop right on the egde. Can you measure this against a dime for size and weight?

Is this possible?

Thank you for all your responses I definitely wouldn't send anything in for grading unless I knew for sure that it was worth it because I don't have the extra money to be throwing away I do appreciate the feedback however it allows me to eliminate a lot of coins that I've been going through and wasn't quite sure if any of them might be worth something just to give you a little background I'm not a coin collector I've just collected coins throughout the years that I thought were nice and now it's time to move on and I'm purging a lot of stuff the coins are on the list it's nice to know that there are people that will Give opinions to what they might be

I guess it doesn't allow me to reply to any of your questions however if you provide an email address I can email you if you have a question regarding a coin that I posted such as if I think it's on a dime planchet I can sure check if somebody could let me know what the nickel would weigh
Rest in Peace

You can reply to any questions in this thread. You can't use private emails since you're still new here.

For all the weights of US coins just select US Coin Facts from the list in the left column.

The trick to telling between MS and AU on a nickel is all in the luster. AU and lower coins are dull, a mint state coin will have pretty strong luster. GOOD LUCK!
