Hi nancyc ! Thank you very much for the offer of 20 cent commems. After many years of scouring loose change, I finally had to purchase the few (2001 COF) that I need via ebay. Best wishes...

I am an old guy now, but as a kid I was enraptured when I was given a Federation jubilee 2/- from change! THAT was something really special for a seven year old! That coin started me on my coin collecting career, way back in 1951!
Thinking more seriously about coins from aboput 14, I started collecting two bobs from around the world. The size of the coin was the rule; it had to be two bob in size. Today I have 44 silver two bobs (florins, 20 cents, 50 bututs 10 pence, call them what you will) and about 80 cupro nickel coins, all with the original specification of 11.3 grams and 28.5mm. I also have about 150 square coins of various types from around the world
Over the years I ahve become a much more sophisticated collector, and have collected ancients now for perhaps 40 years

Hi,
it shouldn't be long before those "taxman 20's" are circulating. I noticed that downies is already advertising the RAM 20c 2010 rolls for sale ($27.50).

Hi All, Just received the latest issue of RAM Mint Issue magazine. RAM taking orders for the Centenary of Taxation coin from 22nd Nov.2010. $14.00 per roll. I'm new here on the forum so do not know yet how to upload a picture but I can describe the obverse of the coin. Across the top it says, Working For All Australians. Then beneath that. 100 The Australian Taxation Office Centenary 2010 Then beneath that 3 Wavy ribbons across the coin and 20 Cents. Hope this is of help.
Also for those who collect 20 cent coins two newies for 2011 coming. Also available after Nov.22 The Ashes Series in a card $6.95 obverse is a six stitcher cricket ball. Looks great. Riding on the sheep's back. Obverse is a set of six panels depicting the wool industry. but part of a two coin set. The other coin is a dollar with a shearer clipping a sheep. The Taxman takes our dollars but so does the RAM with all it's many issues.

thankyou LJ: someone certainly is getting "clipped", and maybe we're "sheep" for letting it happen ?
