I am very curious to of what u may of found out about your coin because I think I have some weird 1942 penny as well.. I did take it to a coin shop and your right they didnt know nothing about whatever it. Alls he said is that dont even make sense to me. He said yeah its a real penny but the date dont make no sense and thats about all he said other then ill give u a few cents for it because as u can see 1942 pennys I have tons of or something like that and thats when I said no I think ill ne keeping that one until I find out more about it and I happened across this post and had to check to see if u ever found anything out about your coin. Any info would be greatly appreciated..

Next time your in the coin shop, check out the containers of aluminum coins in their world coins. Pick it up and you will see how light they are. Nothing like a Steel or copper cent. Much lighter.

Welcome to the Community Jussme76!

This thread is almost 10 months old and we never have heard back from the OP regarding his coin. I call that a "hit and run".

I'd suggest you create a new thread regarding your coin and post good pictures along with its exact weight. You should then get the help you need.
