Yes, send that in. PCGS tends to treat pre 1965 nickels differently versus more current nickels. They even split the years in their guides from 1938 to 1964 versus 1965 to 2003. In their own text, Vintage versus Modern. They'll probably give you a low MS grade. Hard to tell from your photo on Full Steps qualification but I'm sure they'll pull out their 10x loupe as there might be some bridging going on between the steps.

Most notable on your nickel is the lack of deep marks, or nearly no noticeable marks at all.

I was telling a friend that aside from personally destroying a coin, the fastest way to turn an MS65 grade into AU58 is to simply send it in for grading. I have recent experience on that front!
