I've just been on an Aegean cruise and got my first elongated coin from Montenegro! It's actually my only coin of any description from Montenegro. It's a squashed 5-eurocent coin and shows St Nicholas's Church in Kotor: The city has both Catholic and Orthodox churches. This is an Orthodox church built in the early 20th century to replace an older church destroyed by fire in 1896. Here is a photo of the actual building: Monenegro, curiously, does not issue any of its own coins, but uses the Euro. As it isn't an official member of the Eurozone, it doesn't have the authority to strike euro coins with its own designs. This anomaly dates back to the final days of the old Yugoslavia, when there was high inflation and the German Mark took over as the country's de facto currency. After Yugoslavia split up, the breakaway state of Montenegro continued to use the Mark until it was replaced by the Euro in 2002.

I sure remember these old machines on the NJ Boardwalk - always fun to smash them up. (train tracks on the Erie Lackawanna line where it passed through Morristown too)

Neat items so far I have a few in my collection, and this was one I recently added to Numista N#484464 and the oldest one now so far there: One of four 1893 pressed cents from the fair, and this one of mine was pressed from a 1889 Indian cent.

What a beautiful design for that 1934 elongated! And a nice one from Montenegro too.
I had an 1893 Columbian elongated cent somewhere in my Moscow collection, but hadn't seen it for several years (since sometime in the 2010s), and if I made any photos I don't know where they are.
