An interesting medallion produced by H. Alvin Sharpe - Mardi Gras Money 1960. Sharpe is known as the originator of "Mardi Gras doubloons".

This piece features Sharpe's self-portrait with a not-so-subtle nod to the risque aspects of New Orleans.
