"Welcome folks to the Canadian/American Boarder Crossing Game. Solarpenny wins the coin toss, but defers choice to the 2nd half, letting the opponent make their own choice. Americans take the ball to get the game started. 1st and 10 to cross the boarder. QB, SpaceMaNy0, takes the package and drops back into the pocket. He has a man open deep across the boarder! He throws "a bomb" over the border looking for the completion for the 1st score in the game. But no, "The Postman" comes out of no where and intercepts the package! He is headed back south at the boarder dodging left then right. Looks like he may go all the way. Oh no, "The Postman" trips and drops the package right in SpaceMaNy0 lap for the fumble recovery. 2nd down coming up after these words from our sponsor. Stay tuned folks." Just feeling silly this morning. . You have to read it quickly, like an announcer would. Good luck on the 2nd down SpaceMaNy0. .

Now that I think of it, I heard there are Canada Post strikes going on (or were) so I would guess that is causing delays.

Sorry for the delay, I did receive a some prizes last week and a few more this week already but was having computer issues so I was not able to share until now. First up is a 1921 Morgan silver dollar. The folks at border services were nice enough to open the package and inspect it before allowing it to be sent to me, was covered in yellow tape by the time it got to my mailbox. First time I have ever encountered that! These are one of my favorite coins to collect but I haven't gotten too many lately due to all of the counterfeits out there. I am fairly certain at least one of my Morgans is a counterfeit but just by looking at them I have a very hard time telling which ones are real. However, this coin will fit into my collection quite nicely, thank you very much! The next one is a 1982 first day issue of the US silver half dollar commemorating the 250th birthday of George Washington. This is the proof version of the coin I believe, really nice looking! Thanks. I believe this one is from spruett001 based on the cardboard comment. There are 1 and 2 dinar coins from Yugoslavia from 1953 (new for my world coin collection). There are also some really nice Jefferson nickels from 1943, 1944, and 1945 which are huge upgrades to the ones I had in my collection. There was also a banknote form Yugoslavia for 500,000,000,000 dinara. I have tried looking up information on this one but haven't been able to find too much, I don't think they were circulated from what I understand. I am still trying to figure out if I convert it to CAD if I would be able to retire, haha . Thank you! From SilverDon there is a 1911 Barber dime. This one is new to my collection and one of the very few types of coins that I do not have a Whitman folder for, now that I have a few of them I may have to start looking for one. There is a uncirculated 1963 "hanging 3" penny. This is a more well known variety for Canadian penny's but one that I did not yet have. There is a 1968 silver quarter with crazy cameo (was very hard to get a picture of it without getting a light reflection) and a very nice ICCS graded PL-65 1965 quarter. Thanks! From loonielewy there is a pair of silver lucky loonies! These are the silver versions of the Olympic commemorative one dollar coins for 2004 and 2008. I have a fairly extensive collection of commemorative Olympic coinage and had always planned on getting these ones at some point but the right opportunity never came up, these will fit in very nicely, thank you very much! And last but not least from Kefiroth there is an assortment of UK coinage. There are 1887 and 1902 six pence coins, I believe they are sterling silver. These are in awesome shape and new coins for my UK collection. There is 1937 UK penny which is a very big upgrade to the one I currently have. There is also a 1953 UK 5 shillings coin, also new to my collection. I believe this one was not intended for circulation, and is a commemorative for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you!

Quote: I believe this one is from spruett001 based on the cardboard comment. That's it and I'm happy it made it! I was hoping the Jeffersons would be upgrades and intended all along to send the 500B dinara note. Here are some quotes about how volatile the Yugoslavian dinar was: Quote: Yugoslavia re-denominated the dinar for the fourth time on 1 October 1993, at a ratio of 1 million to 1. This did not mitigate the hyperinflation, and the 1993 dinar (ISO 4217 code: YUO) lasted for only three months.
Coinage became redundant. The 1993 dinar had the largest denomination out of all incarnations of Yugoslavian currency: the banknote, featuring Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj had a face value of 500 billion (5×10^(11)) dinara Quote: In the early 1990s, there was severe and prolonged hyperinflation due to a combination of economic mismanagement and criminality. Massive amounts of money were printed; coins became redundant; inflation rates reached the equivalent of 8.51×10^(29)% per year. The highest denomination banknote was 500 billion dinars; it was worthless a fortnight after it was printed. (bold is mine) So, no retirement, but an interesting part of that crazy history.
