PM sent
I am a few days late in signing up, but count me in if possible (even if that means just covering someone else's shortcoming)

Received my assignment!! I'm excited to see the pics as they come in. There are soooo many kind of collections and collectors out there. Many of us, including myself this year, will get assignments to people who collect items that we know nothing about or even knew about! This is a great chance for us to perhaps learn about different countries, coins, tokens or whatever while researching a member. It is also a chance to share and show what you enjoy when choosing a gift. Either way, I hope everyone enjoys the fun of this, appreciate the thought, the time another member has put into it and appreciate the diversity of the hobby!

Help me understand rule #3. Quote: minimum purchase value of US five to ten dollars ($ 5 - 10) How can a minimum value have a range, does this mean the value should be in this range? Thank You.

@jimbucks
I believe $10 is a good starting value. The item sent doesn't have to be in that range, its a minimum.

Some of you have asked for extensions to enroll
Santa has waited as long as he could
I am sorry if you missed the cutoff but we have had it posted for over a month.
This is the final list
All of you should have received your assignments
I have had one member who I have had to send it to 3 times. If any of the rest of you have not received your assignment please email me.
If I do not respond within 24 hours than post it here and once I read it I will delete that post..
For some reason Even Bobby who owns the forum sometimes his emails to me go to Spam?

Quote: Help me understand rule #3. @jimbucks You're overthinking it. Don't be a cheapskate! That's about it. Buy/send something worth at least $5. How much more you go beyond that is on you and desirable.

Rule # 3Rule # 3 was put into place because some of our members are not financially "well off" and cannot afford to be sending out slabbed graded coins. This at least levels the field we are trying to provide a time and place where a person can experience the joy of giving and seeing the joy others get from receiving. We even have some members who are not on this list that send out a gift and ask that they not be listed for others to see who is giving. We are trying to avoid the situation where a person sends another person a single one cent coin or even a roll of one cent coins. the value of the coin being one to fifty cents. and the envelope and postage cost mote than the coin. Yes we experience something similar with our international members (high postage or registration cost)-it cost more money for each of us to post outside our own countries but this is about Giving That is why we have Rule # 6 Quote: No complaints about what you receive will be tolerated. That is why in rule # 4 there is the note Quote: (If you have circumstances that would prevent you from posting your assigned gift out of the country you live in please email me and I will arrange for a local (within country or area) exchange to be made. In years past we have seen some fun and amazing gifts. I even received a piece of coal in a tin with Santa's picture on it along with some "real coins. Any coin I receive as a gift is part of my special collections of "gifts" I have received not to be traded or sold. So santa does not Say Ho, Ho, Ho! on the Forum He says Happy Giving

Sending off coins to Canada, and they have been received by the US Postal Service. There's no Canada like French Canada, it's the best Canada in the land.
