Almost 324,000 nickels looked at! That was some determination.

1950 D was found in Roll 8099
The closest guesses were by

latman100 8091
cheungsta 8080
DLK 8012

smz LOL had only 1 post in all of this forum ever and it was in the contest but late by about a week so his guess was disqualified
HIS GUESS WAS OFF BY ONE at 8098!

Yes and THANK YOU CND for the research and contest!
It was Historic!
Did you picture it would look like that? That is probably a very unique 1950 D to have gotten around that long without getting snatched up. I had visions of an AU-59 from Dad's collection, that some kid used for a can of Skoal.

Please come back to us smz ... You would probably be a lot of fun!

Hi Wheezy!

Happy Birthday, by the way!

Actually, I did think it would be an average circulated specimen, but not too worn down. Pretty much what I got! Ironically, I found it in what was probably the worst box I've gone through in this entire survey; only 8 pre 1959's in the entire box.

The set arrived today, thank you very much, best prize I have ever won anywhere. And if you are ever looking for Australian coins, you only have to ask.

Can you recall how long it take you to find the 39D in circulation?

Thanks.
