From my collection of British tokens issued during the last decade of King George III's reign, this is an undated and anonymous silver shilling token acknowledging the Crown's Ipswich military garrison and barracks for the Suffolk Artillery Militia...hence the attribution. Arrayed beneath the plumes of the Prince of Wales on the obverse are the weapons, musical instruments, and cannonballs also seen in the previous century on several Conder tokens, such as the Blofield Cavalry issue from Norfolk.
Sufffolk, Ipswich, 1811-1812: Dalton 4; Davis 3.
